XDCAM EX Transfer doesn't transfer
I've been importing EX-material without problems into FCP. Today I tried importing footage from 2 cards. First card went fine, second card I could see being imported (white percentage bar over the clips) but it didn't show up in my bin. Tried it again, same thing. Finally I decided to track the QT-files and imported these as files and I was ready to edit.
Obviously this is not the way it's supposed to go. Has anyone experienced this? Remedies? |
Did you close XDCAM Transfer after the first card, then re-open it by clicking on its icon or from applications in finder? It will only load clips direct to the bin if you have opened it from FCP using File>Import>XDCAM. This has caught me out a few times, looking beside the import button for the drop-down list of FCP projects to which to import the clips.

I don't remember but I tried importing just now and it worked fine. Could be I did just as you said... I'll pay extra attention to it from now on. Thanks,
