Dealing with Loss of Saturation after Export
On each of my short little web videos, I tend to lose a very noticeable amount of color saturation after I export to H.264 MOV. I know this has been discussed before but I wasn't sure what the final verdict was on how to compensate or take this loss of color depth into account. Is there a reasonable method for curbing this effect?

Hi Steve.
Steve Mullen gave a method he uses to counteract this "effect" in this post: http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/showpost....57&postcount=3 As H.264 becomes more widespread as a final delivery codec for both the web and Blu-ray, it's a definite concern that it currently provides a noticeable shift in color/gamma to go along with that final delivery. |
