about compressor and mpeg-2
 

I have a project in final cut that I try to export in mpeg-2 with compressor.
it work good but there is no sound, and I cannot find the audio file.
I tried with streamclip but the file become a mts.
I would like to have a final movie in m2v with sound.
is somebody know how to do it?

You have to use two different settings in compressor; one is for the MPEG-2 encode and another for AC-3 audio. Two different droplets for the same movie file.

I saw the book on compressor a few months ago in Montreal, and I thought I should buy it but I waited too long and now the bookstore don't have it and I have to do a special order.
And before I receive the book what do I do with my ac3?

It are separate files, meant for dvd. In DVD STUDIO PRO, you can put them in synch on the track.

If you only for instance, take the complete preset (for instance Best Quality DVD 90 minutes) and drag it onto your file, you'll get sound AND video encoding (but still with 2 separate files though).

The problem is that I am not making a dvd, the files is for sending on internet
because it give me a better result than .mov or other format.

MPEG-2 is not appropriate for the internet. For web delivery, you will find best results using one of the "Web Download (Quicktime 7 compatible)" settings.

Try either the "H.264 300Kbps" or "H.264 800Kbps" setting.

Why do you specifically want m2v? It really isn't the correct or practical format for web delivery. In fact, DVD video is the only practical use I can think of for this particular format.

It is video-only, thus your problems with including audio.
