Error Exporting video from Final cut 6.0.3

When I go to click File>Export>as quicktime movie or using qt conversion. I get the message: File error, access denied.

Does anyone have any ideas how I can get round this, because a lot of work has gone into this project and I don't want to rebuild it from scratch.

Fill in some blanks. Where are you exporting- system HD? Media Raid? A network volume?
