Am I being stupid?? Log and Capture with HDV
 
I haven't captured HDV before and I am having a problem!

In FCP 5.1.4 I'm capturing 25F material from an XHA1.

How do I exit log and capture?? The cross button in the top left corner that I normally use to quit SD Log and Capture is grayed out.

Maybe I am being really stupid here or maybe the software is buggy but I can't get rid of the damn log and capture window without force quitting!!!

Thanks for any advice!

yes you are really stupid.

just press escape to quit the log window.
and I dont think you are stupid.

It seems to be working now, the cross button is no longer grayed out - must have been a bug.

It happens to me now and again...

I think it's just FCP catching up with it's devices...it usually comes back to life after a minute or two.

Not stupid at all!
