No. Apple doesn't do public pre-release. Some might comment that the answer is "iMovie" but I'll reserve cynicism for release.

.....and then the ultimate happens...after several years of this, suddenly within your very own name appears the sign....I have it, the mark of the Mac....and I have passed it on to my son....

Final Cut X has been promised a June 2011 ship date so that from today there is just a maximum of 26 days to wait for the final version. We are way past any beta release timetable now.

Was hoping for some kind of update (even just a shipping date would be nice) at WWDC, but they're back to their usual silent selves. Didn't they say at the sneak preview there would be more info forthcoming?

It'll just show up in the app store one of these days, I guess.

My guess is that it might be released June 21st or there abouts, as it's being presented by Larry Jordan at the London Supermeet.
