Memory card Writer
 

Hi,

I have a Sony FX7 as my main camera and I have an old Canon L1 as a second camera. This camera works great except that it will not record correctly on tape. This camera uses Hi8 type tapes and interchangeable lenses.

I have seen a few devices that will record on to memory cards. The price is about $100US - $200US. These devices record in MPG4 format at a max or 640x480 res. Has any one found a simular device that will record at 720x480 standard def? The HD recorders are just to expensive for me. I might as well just buy a new camera for those prices.
