PAL DVD distribution
I just got back from shooting a bunch of footage in russia on a NTSC XL1. I shot everything in 30p, and I am producing a DVD that will have a series of photos, motage videos, and misc. footage. There needs to be 2 versions-PAL(to be sent to russia) and NTSC. Do I need to convert all my final-edited videos and footage into PAL format? Or do I only need to convert the final DVD into PAL? Im using Premiere Pro 1.5 to edit, and Encore 1.5 for DVD authoring. Also, what is the best way to convert? I've never dealt much with PAL at all.
Thanks, Stephen A. Brock Huntsville, AL |
I would do the final DVD export in PAL. In another thread similar to yours
someone said that you could leave it NTSC since a lot of european are multisystem. While this is true (at least for western europe) I have no idea if this holds true for your market. It's probably better to convert to PAL. Just try outputting your Premiere project to PAL MPEG-2, see how that looks. I'm not an Adobe user (besides Photoshop) myself, so I can't point you to specifics with those products. Good luck! |
thanks
Thanks. I'll try that.
