here's a fellow that did a DVD format compatibility test.
Check out his chart for the 3.95 GByte Authoring format http://www.dvdtoday.com/Recordable%20DVD%20Test.htm |
That's right.
That test is considered if not the, at least one of the best carried out so far. We must consider that at that time no DVD+R media was tested, just DVD+RW. I have first hand experience on 3,95Gb Authoring format. I'v had players that refused to play properly any recordable DVD. The moment you put in DVD-R 3,95Gb Authoring, they play it like a charm. The current situation is becoming better day by day (with the new players supporting all formats), and the few problems that arise are with older players, dubious media or labels. Regards Arnaldo |
Heres a good link that tells about compatibilty.
http://www.dvdrhelp.com/dvd With the few DVD-R projects I have created it seemed not to like a certain Phillips DVD Player. In our house we have 4 DVD Players: Pioneer Matshi (I think) Phillips and XBox It played in all apart from Phillips. All the best, Ed |
