closing panels not sticking
I'd like to get to HD100 forum without scrolling 10 mousemiles, so I close big space grabbers like "What's Going On?" which basically lists everyone logged in.
Usually in forums, if we close a panel, it sticks, meaning you come back to the main page, it still is closed. If the admins have it disabled, please enable it... its a long scroll to get to forums of interest. |
Hmm, ten mousemiles is indeed a long way to scroll. But the closure tabs are working fine for me in FireFox on a PC. Which browser are you using, Ram? Anybody else having similar trouble?

I'm not familiar with "close panels". But all it took me to get to that forum was 1 click of page down on the keyboard. Whew, I nearly broke a sweat :)

Short side question. I need to use a new browser, netscape is getting all screwed up. How do you like Firefox and would you reccomend it? I never liked Explorer. Mike |
Mike: run, don't walk, to your nearest FireFox download. Now if not sooner.

Chris,
Thanks again for the advice on FireFox! I tried it about 6 to 8 months ago and had problems as it would not import my hundred or so bookmarks, but this time it worked just fine. Improvements made it simple to import bookmarks and such. And, they have a new email add-on called Mozilla Thunderbird that imported all of my email address' and saved mails etc. automatically. Works like a charm and I would recommend it to those looking for a change. One last thing that it has, a spell checked for anything you type like email or even posts to this forum and that is very handy for poor spellers like myself. Mike |
I am using IE7 (with maxthon), but you're right - it does *stick* in Firefox. So it must be an IE7 bug.

Old post, and this may not be particularly important, but I just wanted to throw out that they "stick" just fine in IE(7) for me.
