Vimeo and DVInfo
 

What's up with Vimeo video's imbedded on DVInfo?

All I see when trying to view a Vimeo video on a thread here is white. I can view the same clip fine at vimeo.

I see it white while the frame loads, then it looks normal. It might not be loading for some reason. Reset your browser?

The embedded Vimeo videos here at DVInfo don't work for me when using Chrome. I see the same as Chuck just a white box.

It works fine in Safari and Firefox on my mac.

& in Camino & Opera. It's just Google Chrome that has the problem. It appears to be a problem specific to embedded Vimeo video on DVInfo as I can view embedded Vimeo videos using Chrome on other websites without problems.

While surfing around the web I noticed that some web pages didn't work right, if at all, so I concluded that they were Flash sites. I reinstalled Flash Player and everything seems to be right with the world again.

So I conclude from this experience that it was not a problem with Vimeo, DvInfo or Safari but with Flash. So if your experiencing this problem I'd recommend reinstalling Flash to see whether this clears things up.

I am using and therefore experienced this problem with Safari.

Doing a "DVinfo" search on Video resulted in this URL:
http://www.vimeo.com/videos/search:dvinfo/ddad6358

Change your setting at Vimeo.com
 

If you pick "Switch to NEW Flash Player" on vimeo your browser will no longer show embedded videos here at DVInfo.net.

Go back to the "OLD Flash Player" at vimeo and all will be well (for now)
