1000 Members
1000 members and nearly 10 000 posts.
Congratulations to Chris and everyone involved in reaching this milestone. The fact that there are now more than 1000 members in 7 short months is testament to the quality of people and information one these boards. Chris has been banging away on the Watchdog and the rest of the litter since 98 and has built up a remarkable resource for DV and the in particular the XL1 So let me be the first to give props and say thanks. |
Thanks to all who have joined and participated, it is a great
place to be! Even for us moderators there is little too do, so that can only be a good sign. Special thanks to you Chris! Thank you indeed for supplying this place. Although I haven't been part of this great place since 98 (I only joined last year) I feel I belong to a great group of people. Thank you! |
April 19th is "1K Day"! Gee, are we giving the 1000th member a free XL1s? <g>
Congratulations and thanks to Chris and to all of my fellow DVInfo members! |
What's funny is that the 1,000th person to join was none other than my good friend and fellow tradeshow veteran, Adam Brooks, from Boston. He's worked for Media 100 and was the force behind I Can Stream, and I'm trying to talk him into hosting a forum on web-ready video. Fellow member Charles Papert knows Adam as well. It's like one big 'ol happy family around here. I got a kick out of seeing Adam register as Number 1000. Think he deserves a custom title for that... he asked for "Mister 1K" but I was thinking about "Special K" instead...
;-) Thanks y'all, |
Congratulations Chris and all the moderators.
Thanx for creating a world rich in friends, with priceless information. Thanx also to all those companies that support this forum. From me, a special thanx to ZGC and Christine in particular, who has been a real pleasure to deal with. |
10 000
Boom!!!!!10 000 and climbing, Houston(Fentress) launch is successful and we have just hit the stratosphere.
Thanks all, keep em coming. |
Adrian I am quite certain you are the first person in Japan to ever use "Fentress" in a sentance. It's a small ghost town at the crossroads of Texas Highways 80 & 20, I like to say I'm from San Marcos because that's where we buy our groceries.
10,000 posts! Woo-hoo! |
Besides John, I'm probably the only person in Japan that knows Fentress exists. But, where ever you plug you camera in is home, or the nearest place to buy beer.
|
Fentress?!
That's a new one on me...I'm ashamed to admit. But heck...no way to know every town in Texas. Or all 256 counties for that matter. (I'll cut the Texas "Big" talk there before Adrian jumps in with some Oz comparisons) By the way, Chris...there's a pub in Seoul named "Marfa." What are the odds on that? |
Once you hit 2,500 members, Chris...might be an opportune time for the "First Annual DVInfo.net Convention."
Waddaya think? |
I'm looking a little amazed at the numbers... need I say more?
|
John, I think we can throw a convention just as soon as we can arrange for you, Adrian and Rob to all be in the U.S. in the same place at the same time. Now that would be a reason to celebrate!
;-) |
Just as long as it isn't in Vegas. After the snowboard Trade snow in 99 I don't think I want to run into Vegas cops again.
|
Congratulations Chris !!! 1500 + members
I think it was only about 3 months ago the 1000 member plateau was reached. Chris, your doing a great job and the DV Info Net is a great service for us all ! Thanks for all your hard work and efforts on our behalf.

Yeah, it was great to see the head count today! You guys should congratulate each other; everybody's coming this way because of the excellent interaction you all have with each other. We'll hit 2,000 very soon I'm sure. Thanks!
