Best;

Be fun to see what you do with whatever the theme turns out to be.

BTW, see the new thread on the feedback for that request I made of you and a few others. It went over very well. Thanks!

Planing for my film now...

Owen Bickford March 23rd, 2007 09:04 PM

I guess I'm in. Who knows? Maybe this will be the first contest where I actually submit something.

Steven Gotz March 23rd, 2007 09:26 PM

Well, I finished the UWOL Challenge #2, so it is entirely possible that I will actually get something turned in. So count me in for my first DV Challenge.

I ALMOST bought a Panasonic PV-GS500 tonight. Everything is great on it, and it's for a GREAT price as well. The problem though is the viewfinder is just a blank screen. I can't tell if it is broken or not (as it was a demo unit) or the brightness for it is just turned down.

I really want this camera for the challenge in a few weeks, so any suggestions/thoughts would probably be helpful regarding that.

Edward Slonaker March 24th, 2007 04:45 PM

Oh why, why, WHY am I doing this????

- I'm tied up every weekend at a S. Texas ranch for this wildlife photography contest
- we leave on the 20th for our spring run up to Canada
- so....that gives me just a few days to do put something together to enter
- I'll most likely end up either on the "Wall of Shame" (again) OR with an entry that sucks muddy pond water.....

BUT IT'S A $600 Sennheiser EW112PG2 Evolution G2 Wireless mic system, you idiot!!!!

Okay...dammit...count me in!

Thanks, Lorinda!

Lorinda Norton March 24th, 2007 11:39 PM

Hahaha! I am so sorry for putting the temptation in front of you, Ed! HOWEVER, I can't help but be thrilled that you'll be joining in what I hope is lots and lots of fun for all of us. Heck, it just got better with you signing up! :)

You know I can't say no to you.. ;) So I am definately in. :)

Ian Broadbent March 25th, 2007 04:11 PM

Given that I submitted an assessment piece to the IOV that was marked down as drab and boring, that I have never done this before and that I could be considered artisticly challenged..... What the heck, if the theme isnt' anti Brit then I will give it a go :)

That is if us this side of that puddle are allowed to ;)

Cheers n beers

Ian

Steven Gotz March 25th, 2007 09:07 PM

Just throw in a beautiful woman with an accent. We Americans love women with accents. I am not sure why, but it is certainly true.

As long as you follow that simple rule, you are welcome to submit an entry. <said with tongue firmly planted in cheek!>

That's why I was so freaked out when Rose Tyler was written out of Dr. Who. I suppose she gets replaced by another girl with an accent anyway, right?

In my case, make that a Japanese accent! lol. ;)

If only I could find actors..... *Runs out to the streets' and starts asking random people*

Hi Lorinda,

Thanks.

I have been a guest on this forum for almost a year and some of you are real gurus. I learnt a lot about camcorders in here. My philanthropist friend who always says “Knowledge should be free” and its true on this forum.

Regards,

Keny

Brent Graham March 26th, 2007 11:18 PM

Count me in if it's not too late. Sorry, I haven't been checking in as often as I used to. Got the last daughter living at home getting married tomorrow. Life should settle back to a normal level of insanity next week. (She's the one from Frame 37 for those that remember it)

Andrew Paul April 2nd, 2007 03:17 PM

Gary Hanna April 3rd, 2007 07:03 AM

I want in...hopefully it's not too late - please let me know...new to the contest and the forum as well.

Do you need a minimum amount of posts to enter? And what is the entry fee?

Lorinda Norton April 3rd, 2007 10:19 PM

Hi Gary,

You're not too late to enter; the cutoff occurs when Dylan posts the theme. One time we had so many people signing up he thought he might have to impose an early cutoff, but it worked out.

There is no minimum post count or fee. You're in! :)
