That £99 ($150) deal for a 16GB iPhone does commit you to a 24 month contract at £30 ($45) per month for a total of £819 ($1230) for the two years. There are cheaper ways of buying an iPhone e.g. unlocked direct from Apple for £499 but that monthly plan is a decent deal & not out of line with regular prices for any phone for 900 minutes, 5000 texts & 1GB of data. Another deal gives a free phone if you sign up for £45 for 24 months but that does give you 2000 minutes of calls in addition to the 5000 texts & 1GB of data. There is also an offer for unlimited voice calls plus unlimited texts for £45 per month & the handset then costs just £99.
