ARRIRAW - 4:3 Mode Support Announcement
 

Dear Friends,

Based on the many questions and requests that we received at Cine Gear Expo, we have decided to implement 4:3 support in our Gemini 4:4:4 as an integral part of our ARRIRAW Option.

Thus, in the future we will support both the 2880 x 1620 (16:9 Mode) and the 2880 x 2160 (4:3 Mode).

We expect to deliver 4:3 mode firmware in August, 2012.

With this announcement, we will support 2880 x 2160 (4:3 Mode) in both the Gemini 4:4:4 and the Gemini RAW.

This will be a free firmware upgrade for those who have purchased our ARRIRAW Option, no hardware changes will be necessary.

As always, we recommend the 512 GB SSD's for higher frame rates.

I have installed 1st PAID ARRIRAW in HK-CHINA and it is working pretty good so far for 2x units of Alexa.

4:3 Free Upgrade is a " Very good move " indeed Dan, and please accept my order for ARRIRAW 4:3 for our TWO ALEXA Studio in HK before August 2012.

Due to popular demand, we will be adding ALEXA 4:3 Support in our next firmware release.

Thus, we expect to have this ready before August. This depends on us obtaining a ALEXA 4:3 camera in time.

Of course, one will need the ARRIRAW Option.
