CD rocks! |
Dear Friends,
We feel that this is a significant day for us. The PC Version of our File Converter is something that we wanted for quite some time. Now, one can shoot in quicktime format, ".MOV", then "re-wrap" the files to ".MXF" whether they have access to a Mac or a PC. The "re-wrap" process is not a transcode, no image quality is lost, and the process occurs fairly quickly, about disk copy speeds. One can select files on a CompactFlash card, and then "re-wrap" them when doing the initial copy to a hard disk system in a computer. |
Thanks for the continued support!

Thanks Tommy and Dan!
This PC utility will most certainly come handy, especially when exchanging material with fellow nanoFlash operators within a common project, who themselves work on Mac platforms. While we're at file utilities, the next one on the wish-list would be one for 4GB-limited, and/or card spanning, chunks concatenation into a single file per take of any length... Any plans for that? |
Very cool. Thank you for making this.

Thank You ! Thank You !! Thank You!!!
I just tested this last night and it worked great! I had shot some (EX1) MOV green screen footage for a client a couple of days ago, and wanted to do some test composites to demo it with a bunch of backgrounds I had just shot. My home system is all PC, and I was able for the first time to easily take the Nano MOV files and make them usable in PC-Land! Even though I was only doing 'demo composites', it was great getting to use the high quality 4:2:2 Nano MOV files rather than going back to the 4:1:1 SxS card data. And the client loves having the MOV's since they speed up the process of getting the data into Final Cut. |
Thanks very much, this was the missing piece of my workflow. I am going to write up an article on how to use it next week.
