Dear Friends,

It is hard to find "Mini to Mini" cables. These are "Type C" to "Type C" cables.

The standard size Type A (Large) to Type C (Mini) are easier to find.

However the quality of some cables are suspect.

Good quality Type A (Large) to Type C (Mini) are available at nanoFlash.net.

I had bought an adapter at Radio Shack - the only one they had at the time was a 'swivel' type. Unfortunately it was wide enough that if it was plugged into either HDMI port, it was impossible to plug anything into the other HDMI port. Ended up buying a couple of short mini(Male)-to-standard (female) HDMI adapter cables, which at this point seem to be working fine. I do wish there was a bit more spacing between the plugs so that adapters could be used in a pinch.

Dear Friends,

It is nice to hear that the HDMI adapters are working for some of you.

I also hear from others that the adapters are problematic, as it creates another connection that can come loose. And every adapter that I know of blocks the other HDMI port on the nanoFlash.

In general, I prefer a high-quality purpose-built HDMI cable, either a Type A to Type C or a Type C to Type C.
(Type A = Large HDMI, Type C = Mini).

One source that I am familar with that supplies the Type A to Type C cables, of known quality, is nanoFlash.net. Other dealers may have sourced high-quality cables also.

Hello Sebastian,

I had to used the Nano with the Sony CX-550VE and it worked fine (however with few false contact problems when handling both Nano and camcorder).
I suggest you to avoid adapters (which create false contact) and find a mini HDMI to mini HDMI cable, for instance on this UK based website Video Cables HDMI Cables & Adapters HDMI Mini & Micro Cables at kenable.co.uk
