Thanks, I'll try using the trial.

Can you elaborate a little about 4:4:4 and its benefit over 4:2:2 for a DSLR HD footage ?

Thanks

Re: Neo4K NeoHD Neo

As I said in the part you quoted "most will not need greater than HD and 4:4:4." 4:4:4 is only useful for feature work using very high-end cameras or 35mm film scans. Anything that typically requires a DPX uncompressed workflow benefits 4:4:4, so offering 4:4:4 compression preserves the color resolution for those workflows. 4:4:4 is idea for keying and effects work. Yet alpha channels are another matter, which is 4:4:4:4. The four channel is for transparency elements to be used, really useful for effects renders.

David, as I understand it CineForm Studio Premium will be a free upgrade to existing and Neo4K v5 customers (=me).
Q: Will I loose any neo4k_functionality /_performance compared to the new , much cheaper sw?
