Richard, dont get me wrong, but how should i interpret that;
1. I am happy that one minute takes four minutes to export.
2. I dont care how long it takes as long as it looks good.
3. Four minutes? For me it takes approx one minute to export one minute?

- What alternative do you choose? :)
- What are your computer specs?

I am happy with the quality CineForm gives me, but the render times are odd, on many computers with two common components: Intel processors (Pentium IV, Core 2 Duo, Quad Core and Xeon 54XX) and Nvidia graphic chips.

Roger, are your slow output speeds the same at any of the different CF "quality" settings? IOW, do CF High, High Optimized render out at the same speed as CF Film scan, Film scan 2?

Stephen, with NEO HD i tested Low, Medium, High, Film Scan 1 and Film Scan 2. Low is slowest and High and Film Scan 2 is the fastest. Its a very small difference between the rest.

Well, lets just accept that for now the ration to render is 3 or 4 to one.

I'm seeing the same thing with Adobe Premiere Elements 7 (in fact, even worse ratio up to 8x, but I think that's because I am running at the min system requirements).

I decided to test Elements first because I thought it would be lighter than Premiere CS4. Who knows, when I get to CS4, maybe the times will be worse, though I suspect they will be the same.
