Prospect HD and Canon HG20 Pulsing colors
 

I have a problem. When I record with my Canon HG-20 and get m2t files and watch either on TV or PC, they look normal, but when I use HDLink to transform them to AVI (I have ProspectHD) colors are pulsing. You cansee that when there is a lot of color on th screen i.e. filed of grass, then the green just sort of blinks or pulses. At first I thought it was only red color and indoor so I thought maybe it had to do with lights and 60Hz frequency but then I took it outside and the same thing and I realized it only happens after I transfer them with HDLink. I tried HDLink with Automatic and the Interlaced option -same results. Has anyone seen this?

This has not be reported. Support a trouble ticket with support and maybe have a short sample uploaded so you can provide a link. It is also good to review using VirtualDub, to confirm that it is not a graphic card presentation issue.

I found one more thing which is even stranger now. When I just put 1 files in HDLink, it will transfer to avi correctly (no pulsing) Pulsing only happens when I do more than one. and I always do all the files. There is no way I will do one by one file. I select convert and then find the folder, go inside and select all the files and convert

As it is not a know bug. Please do the VirtualDub test, and contact support.

what is the virtualdub test? I know what VirtualDub is but not the "test". I also created a support ticket

Use it, see if the colors change as you step between frames.

Yes Virtualdub does that too. Frame by frame one can see that it happens. Interesting thing is that my dad also has Prospect HD but he is using a lot older version and I tried it on his PC and it was not pulsing there

Support will need the source M2T (maybe) and resulting AVI (you can using VirtualDub in DirectStream mode to copy out a smaller section to make the upload smaller -- non-destructively.)
