Cineform + Tsunami Encoder issue
Has anyone here actually used the Tsunami encoder to transcode Cineform .avi files? I just downloaded TMPGEnc v4.xxx express and the application locks up on me whenever I try to load a cineform .avi (1440x1080p 23.976) source file. I've already put a ticket in with Tsunami support.

My TMPGenc is cranking on some CFHD files right now. Definitely should work with any Cineform output.

Hey thanks. Good to know it works. I'll have to check again to see if there is something on my end when I get home.

William, I can never recall a specific issue with TMPG so far as not being able to read a codec that was installed. A good test is to see if your media player can play the clips in question.
In any case, a good first option is a reinstall of either Cineform and/or TMPG. |
Working fine here.

I figured it out. Very unusual--when I click on add file and select the file I wish to transcode, the 'confirmation' window kept popping up in my 2nd monitor--which was turned OFF when I first installed and launched TMPGEnc. That's why the Task Manager said the application was 'awaiting a response from me...'--it was waiting for me to hit the okay button, but I couldn't see it since my 2nd monitor was turned off. I just happened to turn it on later and noticed that was where the confirmation window was.
Yeah, once I figured that out, it transcoded the files fine. The m2t files play pretty nicely on a PS3. |
