"Camera Driver Is In A Bad State."
Captures in HDLink with a JVC GY-HD101E have turned out to be erratic and unreliable. At end of each capture, there is a report "Camera Driver Is In A Bad State" and the instruction is to shut the camera off and restart. I have not had this error message with another camera.
Sometimes the capture is good and the captures can be long, length does not seem to be a provoking factor. Most times however, the captured file exhibits broken pixellated banding and audio break-up. Sony cams, PMW-EX1 in firewire capture, HVR-Z1P do not provoke this problem. An FX1 will sometimes return a bad capture towards end of a long take, Recapturing with a Z1 seems to make this go away. The computer is a 3.2GHz dual core, drives are 7200rpm. If anyone has any clues, advice would be appreciated. |
Not sure what it is, but I get that too. Occasional 'Camera driver is in a bad state' errors. I use a Canon HV30 & Custom PC w/ Q6600 Quadcore. Overall everything is fine. It happens only occasionally.
