Wireless and handheld mics...
I'm shooting some interviews this weekend and need to purchase two wireless lavaliere mics and one handheld...any suggestions as to which mics are the best. This footage may very well air on television, so quality is extremely important!
Any suggestions? |
A lot of ENG organizations use Sony ECM 44's for lav's and Electro Voice stick mic's http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bh4.sph/...ID=F419255BFC0
I've used both and they perform great. |
You may still have a budget in mind. Let us know what kind of money
you want to spend. Good wireless rigs (on camera rig?) go for big bucks. If you have the money, sony makes a nice two channel rig (in one receiver) that's about $4K and has many of the bells and whistles (like many different frequencies you can choose between when you are in high traffic areas). Is the handheld mic supposed to be wireless too? |
We are on a budget and can't afford top of the line, but we are looking for the biggest bang for our buck. 4k is a bit steep...
We do need a wireless handheld. Sorry for the confusion. Thanks for the quick replies! |
As far as wireless goes, I always recommend the Sennheiser EW112P. At $450/each they offer excellent performance and are UHF to boot.
I have used the bodypack transmitter with a handheld mic without problems. Sennheiser also makes both a wireless hand mic and handheld transmitter that can clip to a hand mic. |
