Hi,
My one month old A1 is DEAD!

The problem was that everytime I connected the firewire to download footage to hard drive, I noticed that there are static noise on the audio.
Also the Vegas never recognized the camera!!?? I download the footage through Pinnacle 9 and windows media.

I called the Canon Canada, we went through the troubleshooting with them for two days and the results were that it's the camera's fault.So I called the place where I purchased the A1 and they are gettin me a new one. THANK GOD!!!

So I am going to test every single situation once I get the new camera.

That's weird man... I use Vegas and had some issues in the beginning with capturing the HDV... Then I realized that Vegas has two capture programs (one for regular dv and one for HDV / SDI). You can change it in the preferences screen. This may help out... Maybe not...
