Last month I shot some stuff on my H1 for a short and friend and I were working on, and we shot interlaced first for some slow motion effects, and then shot 24F for the rest. I used the same tape, and when capturing via FCP 5.1.2, FCP recognized the change in the formats, and captured appropriately. It really surprised me, as I was expecting FCP to error out when it got to the point we switched, but it didn't.
I wouldn't recommend making this a habit of shooting both on the same tape, but if capturing with the latest FCP, it seems to work ok.
