yes, I got approximation quotes some years ago and they were all in the hundreds of euros.

recently i came across a youtube video of an asian guy who shows you how to disassemble the camera and fix the problem.

just came across the camera again, and looked up prices on ebay for used ones, and was thinking of trying to fix it and sell it. the body is practically brand new... what a pity
