12" XLR - XLR right angle mic cables...
Hi all,
I searched for a 12" right angled (both ends) mic cable for my A1's and came up with a deal that included a lot of six of them. I just need to keep two, so if anyone needs one of these cables I have 4 available for $5 each plus shipping - probably $2 - $3 if you're in the US. Just send me a PM if you're interested. |
What gender are each end of these cables?

Joel, what's your source for those? I look every once in a while for those short cables with right angles on each end and it's near impossible to find them. When I was younger, I would have just made some, but nowdays I just don't have the patience :-\

Thanks a lot, Joel

Interesting looking XLR plugs, are they stamped Canon or are they Chinese.
Cheers. |
I've wanted this kind of cable, too, and so I once found this site that will custom make just about any cable you want. Haven't pulled the trigger on this one (yet), but ~$20 or so looks like it will get me there.

I was going to order, but wanted to confirm they are fixed at 90 degrees. I suppose I need something with Neutrik connectors or something similar with adjustable angles. Joel, don't those get in the way of the handgrip and/or tape compartment door?
|
Hi Bill,
They are fixed 90 degree connectors. Line one's input is above the handgrip so it this angled plug doesn't interfere with the handgrip. The lower one does - the angled adapter fits (snugly) but does make it harder to fit your hand in the grip. I almost never use the camera handheld with the handgrip though, so that isn't a problem. |
