7? TFT LCD Monitor with Shoe Mount - LCD4Video
Has anyone got this monitor ? What is the picture quality like ? It is also available with 12V battery options, a Canon BP930 battery adapter (claimed 8 hours battery life) and an XLR power adapter, I assume it can be powered directly from the camcorder using this. It also has a BNC connector on the A/V cable for easy connectivity .. does this output the same quality as composite or is it better ? Has an unusual display resolution of 1440x234. |
Hi Brian,
Personally i wouldn't bother. Have a look at this thread if you are after a decent monitor. http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/sdtv-hdtv...ml#post1017159 Regards, Bryce |
I have this unit:
1. Runs DC or on 12volt battery pack. Battery is the same as on you buy an alarm system to keep it up during power outages. 2. The shoe mounting hardware is nothing special, and at times hard to tighten down. 3. This standard def..... Many monitor this size claim that odd pixel amount, but explanation was that they were using 3 pixels for the multiplier. So consider 480. 4. It does have a fairly bright and contrasty output, to help with focus. 5. In direct sunlight it loses. They give you a cheap hood to add using velcro stips they give you. But the strips don't stick to the oily plastic, so I had to staple them. 6. I haven't run the battery down yet. 7. I use this kit for jib use for framing primarily. You can eek a decent focus out of it, given care. |
