HVR-MRC1K and canons XHA1 cameras?

anyone have any experience with these working together well? Do they work in 24F and 30 or just 30? Also, any experience on which cards work well?

this is the unit:
Sony | HVR-MRC1 MEMORY RECORDING UNIT | HVR-MRC1K | B&H Photo
