Taking a still image along with preset

Do many of you guys use this feature? Using the still image of preset. I'm unsure how this helps out. Maybe you guys can enlighten me. I just got this camera a few days ago so I'm trying to learn as much as I can about it.

I believe it just provides the preset info used with the pic....good for future reference.
