Test footage, Swan (on a) Lake
Hey all,
First post & vid: http://vimeo.com/923549 Just getting used to the camera...been using an XL2 for around 18months, so am familiar with Canon's. Wanted to check out how hard it was using the extra features to help you make HD look good! Turns out it was easier than i thought... Video-wise, please excuse the dodgy tripod work on the last shot. Partly me, partly a 501 head. Ho hum! Any advise/comments/criticism welcome! |
you need to set the clip to Public

thought i had...clip now public. Obviously i didn't click save!

Very nice! Loved the edit and music. I use the 503 head and just can't get smooth pans from it. My new gitzo comes today.
|
Nicely done. Great looking shots.

Nice-looking shots.
Your comment on Vimeo says that you added a vignette in post. What is that? The darker areas around the sides of the image? Like a soft mask? |
Yeah, the vignette makes the corners a bit darker and more blurred basically and draws you attention more to the centre of the composition. I thought it worked well for the piece.
|
Then I agree. I thought that the vignette looked great. Keep up the good work.
|
lovely, except for the blood-sucking monster waving around between it's eyes at 0:35! :-)
|
Is it just my observation or do swans always seem to have a bad temper? They're easy on the eyes and all, but whenever I ask them for a retake, they get all hissy!
