25f and FCP preset: 1080i50 or 1080p25?
 

Hi,
maybe this is a stupid question, but when i shot with the A1 at 25f (PAL) which preset should i use in FCP?
1080i50 because the 25f is anyway transported in a 50icodec or
1080p25 because there are 2 kinds of HDV (50i and 25p)?

NOTE: In the FCP settings folder there are only 2 HDV codecs (50i and 60i), but when i choose the capture preset FCP presents HDV 1080i50, HDV 1080p50, HDV 1080i60, HDV 1080p30...)

I did a test, apparently the 2 files look exactly the same.

For XH A1's 50i-mode use HDV 1080i50 (Firewire basic) preset and for A1's 25F-mode use HDV 1080p25 (Firewire basic) setting. From Easy Setup you should find all these settings.
Only by using 1080p25 preset you can edit your material in real progressive mode.
