Drop Frame / Non Drop Frame
Ok, When editiing I see this often and thought I read somewhere that the XH-A1 recorded non drop frame. Is this correct.
Every time I see this option, and premier often defaults to drop frame, I change it to non dropped frame, am I doing the right thing. I would love some explenation of this if anyone wants to shed some light on this subject. Thanks. |
Did you ever get a response on this? I'm wondering the same thing....

I think most people shoot NDF. Doesn't make any difference, but you should adjust your NLE settings to match. I'm thinking you can switch the camera either way but it's been a long time since I've been through that so I don't remember for sure. Should be easy to find in the manual or in the menu.

I believe the A1 defaults to DF right out of the box. Of course it's selectable in the menu though. As Bill says, just set it to whatever your NLE project is set to.
