Hey guys, Do you know of any adapters i can use to give extra hotshoe so i can put my on camera light on the A1. I use the onboard for mics. I am thinking about buying NTG 1 for live concerts. Thx

get this and the extra ring adapter for canon. It a little pricey , but it is really good. don't try to get the Rode SM4 or SM5. It a bit lose and the mic is always dipping down wards when you add a Rycote on it. If you are planning on using on shorter mic too. then get the Ktek KSSM instead. It is much better then clogging your hotshoe |
i am not looking for shockmount but for an adapter. The one i see in b&h is threaded how do you fit into the A1?. thx

Second -- consider mounting your mic on another bracket and reserve the camera shoe for the light. There are a wide variety of ways to add an extra shoe or two. Check out http://bracket1.com/ and also the Mini Rover at B&H: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produc...ini_Rover.html |
SIMA offers a low cost ($13 range) bracket the provides two shoes on it. Not very elegant, but may meet simple needs.

I bought the sima one to help with stabalizing the camera while shooting on a boat. It has 2 shoe adaptors also. I second the sima.
