Best settings for low light?
I was doing some test shots in low light, and the picture was very grainy, and it seemed to be that way on most of the other settings. I tried it with the auto gain control on and off. So what do you guys think are the best settings for low/bad lighting?

It takes light to take pictures. Make sure your ND filter is off, that your gain is at zero db, and don't use a setting that presses the blacks. If you can't get a good exposure, there are two options--(1) add light, (2) raise the gain and get grain.

This has been discussed in the past, here is a good thread with some preset possibilities that you might try. Again GAIN = GRAIN so anything above +6db of GAIN and you're going to introduce noise, I have my gain presets at -3, 0 and +6 and when I want great night scenes I used the preset from Wolfgang discussed in the post below, or I turn on more light.

add gain and also increase NR 2 setting (noise reduction) 2... I've found the second of the two noise reduction settings to help in low light
