Cleaning the A1 body.
Its that really nice looking matte finish and so finely graded surface
but I've noticed that it does tend to cause dirt to cling to it. I want to keep it as new as the day it came out of the box. Anybody happy with what they are using to clean it? Cloth and water or a more elaborate solution? |
The A1 seems to have the same "surface texture" as Canon's D SLRs which is really no good. All kinds of dirt attach to it. I cleaned my SLR with water and a cloth - it worked fairly well, even tough the surface is like fine sandpaper.

what about household static wipes. those pick up dirt likes its going out of style. or are they bad for the circuitry, etc? i figure it wouldnt be bad to the body for cleaning or anything.

don't clean it. savvy clients find clean cams suspect!
give it some hearty scuffs and leave it outdoors overnight to build up its constitution. pepper it with a few swatches of duct tape for good measure. carve a number in it that means absolutely nothing. don't forget to wear a bodybuilding weight belt...all of the time. this is how you will appear to be a "seasoned professional." |
:), don't forget that pony-tail and dark suit. Very important. Then you can add a 0 to your invoice, before the decimal comma.
