editing canon xha1 footage
 

this probably belongs in another thread...but i will give this a shot. I saw that steve dempsey jumped from adobe to vegas with a pc. i am just about to purchase a new pc, video card etc, and thought about cs 3, then cineform. i desire to do simple editing and vegas appears to be the nle that many use for that simplicity. any comments? is there anything needed besides vegas 7 or 8?

Fairly new to editing so take it for what it's worth... I'm using Premiere CS3 with hd footage from the XH-A1 with no intermediate codec and it's working beautifully. New computer also.
