HV10 time laspe
Anyone interested in a HV10 time lapse sequence (50i or 25p)? I would only need a place to upload.
|
I would be innterested in this - dont mind 50i or 25p (or both!!!) How did you deinterlace?
How did you do the time lapse? What settings did you use? Why not use filefactory? I know its a hassle to download from but I dont mind and its free and pretty easy to upload |
me too !!.....
|
Me Three :).
|
Time lapse was done in Vegas, as well as deinterlacing.
I haven't used filefactory or any other upload space before, so I will give it a try ... |
Alright, here you go:
http://www.filefactory.com/file/aba7a6/ http://www.filefactory.com/file/57e515/ I rendered it to 720p XVID to get the size down. |
LOL !!
Great stuff. :) I thought you clip could do with some grading !! Here is a quick grade with a sweep between the 'before' and 'after' http://www.filefactory.com/file/307e63/ Lee |
Cool time lapse!
And forgive the newbie question, but does 'grading' mean color correction? Contrast enhancement? What editor did you use to do that? Thanks, Jim |

Colour correction, brightness, contrast, blurring, sharpening even adding grain or vignetting the edges are all considered part of grading these days. I did that in After Effects, although it is just the levels tool, so any old editing/compositing package can do the same. |
Thank you, Lee, for your grading input. What filters did you use?
Here is another time lapse & freeze frame clip: http://www.filefactory.com/file/57e515/ |

Lee - could you give me any more details? I like what you have done.
Michael I think the second sample is particularly impressive - well done! I'm a complete editing noob - any chance you could explain how you created the clips? Did you use a velocity envelope? I love the freeze frame and slo mo - how did you keep the chap at normal time in isolation? Cheers Fergus |
Thank you, Fergus!
The editing was done in Vegas 7 using several (masked) layers of the same master shot. Layer one: The (masked) old man in the center (normal speed) Layer two: Time lapsed layer (factor 544) of the familiy around the old man (this was done using intermediate files, since Vagas can only speed up by factor 12 in one step) Layer three: Freeze frame Layer four: Slow motion (factor 4) |

Thanks Michael - I will have to invest some time in learning how to do this stuff!! How did you render to Xvid? Im not sure I have that option? Was this shot on the HV10? How long was the master shot? Cheers |
Fergus, the master shot is from the HV10 and about 40 minutes long. The render was done from Vegas 7.
