Thanks for the info Igor!

Igor Babic April 4th, 2008 01:55 AM

I have gather all my info here from good people who like to share, but all those stuff is spread around various posts so this is like all in one place with some of mine. I also have Brevis and some of my solutions come from there too (and from his inperfections and from his exellence) So I think it's not fair to charge for this info, but thanks that you like it so much. I hope that this will help someone to build or upgrade or stear in right direction.

hey igor. thought i'd help out the Nikon mount situation where you don't have to glue or lathe anymore.

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produc...mm_Leica_.html

This looks like it'll do the trick.

Rich Hibner April 4th, 2008 04:13 PM

apparently, it depends on who you buy the mount from. they tell you it's 55mm, but not standard. So if you have a standard 55mm, it's a no go. Pretty lame.

Igor Babic April 4th, 2008 09:48 PM

I have try Nikon mount + ring 1 from macro ext tube and step up from 55-77 and its nonstandard 55 or 56, so no go. And there is another problem, there is no room for mounting a base of gg holder. Inner diameter of 55 step up is too small. Thanks for looking Rich...

Change in design. No need for lathe on Nikon mount.

I am waiting for this parts:
1. ebay seller: urgalaxy: Nikon BR-3 Reverse Mount Lens Adapter ring 52mm Adaptor,
2. ebay seller: jiakgong DIGITAL: 58mm + 72mm Lens Adapter Tube for SONY DSC-H5 DSC-H2 H1 (use only 58-72 cone tube)
3. ebay seller: jiakgong DIGITAL:step up rings 52-58mm and 72-77mm.

This will probably solve problem for you guys that dont have acces to lathe to adopt Nikon mount to 55mm step down ring like in my first description.
This will also give more quality to nikon mount.

I am also working on a description of pictures that I have posted and rest of my shopping list. I have also on order new achromat and I will keep you posted of my findings.

Igor Babic May 2nd, 2008 01:38 AM

I have receive those parts, but cone part from Sony DSC adapter tube is 72 and 62 threaded. Its on both sides female thread. So I have to use macro reverse ring (male-male) from 52 to 62mm to conect Nikon BR 3 mount and this cone tube. All those parts looks great.

Same principle, new design

4 Attachment(s)
I made couple of those for me and my friends... A lot of parts custom made this time.
Enjoy...

Igor.... can you give a link for the handle... I tried to find it but I don't know that
language..

Thanks

Igor Babic August 31st, 2009 11:42 AM

They changed their web page so I cant find it too.
Sorry.

A lot of info from my previous posts is changed, thats why I have changed my design to this last one. I have also changed gg and condenser lens and achromat. Now they are more easy to find and this combo gives much better image.
