How much weight can the GL2 hotshoe support?
 

Will this setup be too much weight for my hotshoe??

I know that that Sony light is not very heavy. But, even so, I think you're pushing it from just a sheer usability perspective. The physical weight of that top rig is not really the main issue to my eyes; it's the likelihood that one moderate bash will gain enough of a lever arm to do the shoe in.

Yeah what he said. The shoe on my GL2 always makes me nervous. I often regret purchasing the MA-300.

Try taking the wireless kit off the mic-adapter and laying it flat on the top handle with the velcro. It's the way that I've run mine and yes horizontal vs vertical polarization of the RF makes for slightly shorter range but it's been working fine for me.

You shouild be able to get the antenna and the line out to sit around the hot shoe.
