Telephoto lens question

I'm looking to get the Century Optics 2.0x Tele-Converter lens for my GL2. What are the pros and cons of screw mount versus bayonet mount?

Guest April 11th, 2004 09:56 PM

correct me if i am wrong but...

bayonet mount gets the lens on and off much faster (think of your lens hood) and ive been told it is much tighter

Jerry, you got that right! I've ben thinking of a type of interim bayonet 58 thread that would adapt the thread part into a bayonet .. only a thought.

Grazie

Bayonet vs Screw-On Mounts

I too am pondering this question. Does the GL2 accept a bayonet mount? Does the GL2 need an adapter to use the bayonet mount?

Colin Rayner April 14th, 2004 04:43 AM

No adapter needed for the GL2, the Century optics 2 x Converter fits directly on, you don't even have to remove any filters you may have on first.

Btw, has anyone found a cheep price for it? (BHphotovideo.com: $399 for DS-20TC-58K 2.0x)
