Sharpen or unsharp mask in PPro CS6?
Ans how much for 5D Mk3 footage?

No answer to that Dan. It all depends on the footage, each shot will probably vary. But In general, as little as possible

Re: Sharpen or unsharp mask in PPro CS6?
Both are different algorithms. Unsharp Mask is, in theory, more suited to DSLR footage but there are potentially thousands of scenarios where that isn't the case.
Try both, use the one that you like. You'll need different results for different display sizes. The rule of thumb - the smaller the screen the more the sharpening - but again there are exceptions. Hope this helps. |

Only works well on footage acquired without any sharpening whatsoever in-camera. Good luck! |
