Looks great. And it's a nice use of the 5D2.

Being a small web vid, we can't judge things too closely, but it looks like they used a fast shutter speed - even in the scene in the office with the book.

I'm not too surprised. With handheld DvSLR video, things can get pretty sloppy. And audiences have learned to tolerate - if not enjoy - the adrenalin of a high shutter look.

It's not something to use on normal interviews, straight-ahead style docs, or romantic comedies, but for high intensity dramas and docs, we really need to reconsider the 180 shutter "rule".

I am guessing the opposite. This is likely web compression issue. Will be interesting to see if you are right Jon.

My bet is on the compression too. It seems to be so extreme that frames are dropped.

I agree that there are dropped frames, but things still seemed very sharp, even with motion. Then again, with such low resolution, I can't be 100% sure about the shutter speed thing.

I hear that they shot a lot of it with 50/1.2 and 50/1.0 lenses wide open. That would let them shoot at a high shutter speed, even with moderate light.

Can't wait to see the episode at full res...

Is there somewhere to watch it online tomorrow? Or do we have to wait a week to see it on hulu?

How about a friends or neighbors house?
Broadcast HD will have the least compression.
