600D HDMI & USB outputs
 

Can anyone please tell me what the resolution is of the HDMI output and the USB output for the T3i.

I know it's not full HD - I'm wondering if it is even SD 720x480.

I own a fairly old Varizoom 7 inch monitor which isn't all that great - and am wondering if I would get a better picture with a different monitor.

Idea please. ??? Lilliput?

Been wondering this myself. Google doesn't seem helpful, unless I am asking the wrong question.

I think you will find hdmi is good quality but not full HD until you press the record button then it reverts to dv quality. If using your get a few seconds black screen while the monitor readjusts. But if you have Magic Lantern installed you can set it to always output dv avoiding the changeover.

Presumably this would be dv quality at 16:9?
