60D attached to bicycle
Here's a crazy idea... I attached the 60D to my bicycle and cycled along the seafront.... !
Bikecam test: Brighton and Hove Cycle Path POV - YouTube I think the settings need to be tweaked, such as a faster shutter speed and maybe try shooting at 50 or 60 fsp (720p)? Any other ideas please let me know! |

Re: 60D attached to bicycle
I use two ContourHD 1080p cameras on my training rides and races. There's lots of videos on youtube of others but only a couple use two cameras. You could add the garmin computer data using Dashware, throw in some graphics and do a picture in picture for the rear camera. Here's a snippet of a video I never finished. Cheers

Re: 60D attached to bicycle
this is great, how you add computer data to video?

Re: 60D attached to bicycle
A program called Dashware. It takes computer data (Garmin, Polar, etc.) and your video and overlays the gauges which are very customizable in terms of type, size and what data they map to. I actually created a 3 hour blue screen video then use that in Dashware. It gives me more flexibility in Premiere when I key out the blue and overlay it on the actual ride videos. Cheers.

Re: 60D attached to bicycle
Thanks Kawika, that's a great tip regarding Dashware, will have to check it out. And great video by the way -love the two camera idea. Hope you get to finish it!
I think I might also try 60fps at 720p next time and see how it goes.... |
