Spacer for mounting camera
I'd like to use my Chrosziel matte box with my 7d and need the camera mouned a little higher to get to the center of the lens port. Does someone make a spacer block for this purpose?

Hey, I have this:
indiSYSTEM - indiRAILSpro 12 and it does allow you to raise/lower the camera's position by about 1 inch either way. It is very strong and stable. Go for the one with the 12" rails and just take off the rails. Their customer service is very good so maybe they would let you just order that with out the rails. Good luck. |
Thanks for the suggestion Nick. I'm pretty sure what I'm looking for is available, just not coming up with the right term for it. Maybe should've posted under the sticks section.

Good luck, I'm sure you'll find something

try camera riser instead.
there are 15mm offset brackets you could use to drop the MB instead of raising the camera, as long as it clears release from your tripod head. you could also offset bracket raise the camera as well. there are also camera platforms with height adjustments as well ya, its a crazy world of misfit bits that don't always work together. if its only a small rise you need, could be a simple as a piece of wood, plexi, rubber or metal + a longer mounting screw to what ever your plate is. |
