I can't seem to find it on Canon USA, so here is the Japanese link to a much better looking video.

Caution, soap opera cheese factor +10

Thankyou Canon!

Finally A HD capable DSLR which acknowledges the USA and Japan are not the only countries on the map!

I have not seen any mention of what codec they used... hopefully it is the same one as the 5d!

Ethan, I was hot to get the D90 but saw the short film from the contest on Studio Daily and the rolling shutter effect on trains going by drove me away. The look of the film, however, was great, due to the lighting skill of the cinematographer. I just watched one of the demo clips on this camera and they also have a train going by but it looks good. But as Chris says, I need to see more before I'd fork over the cash...although I have to say that what I"ve seen so far makes me like this camera better than any of the hybrids I've seen so far, including the 5DMKII--which is clearly a superior image, but does not do 24p and I need that. If the 5DMKII had 24p I probably would have that on my new purchase list, but I don't trust promises of changes to come.

Meanwhile, I'm too thick to understand why they didn't call this thing a 60D.

Maximum video clip length?

It seems that the 7D may also have a short clip length of 12 minutes. Does this mean that the camera quits recording at the 12min/4GB clip limitation?

Or does the camera produces a spannable clip and keeps on rolling?
