C100 with Ninja Blade monitor comparison

Question for those who are using the ninja blade w/ the c100....is your ninja monitor much more yellow looking then the c100? Atomos has assured me that it's 701 calibrated and I should trust it over the camera monitor....but I just can't get over how far off the camera monitor is.

Re: C100 with Ninja Blade monitor comparison

I have Ninja Blade for my C100 and it is SO MUCH BETTER as a monitor than the C100s LCD, and then there is the 4.2.2 recording capability (when you need it) too.

The C100s LCD has a VERY blue hue to it. I've read others complain about this too, so it's not just mine, an early C100 production run/serial numbered one.

This is perhaps why you think your Ninja is more yellow looking.

yup, you are correct Andy. I did some tests (this is the first time using my new setup)...the monitor on the blade is pretty close to what the footage looks like once imported into my avid. The c100 monitor is really blue! (and doesn't seem to be very adjustable). I switched it to b&w so it would stop messing with my eyes. I'm used to the monitor on my xf300 which is awesome and trust-worthy.

Scarily blue. This is why I find the Ninja Blade is a 'great little production monitor with a nifty recorder on the back'. My SmallHD AC7 has been feeling a bit underutilised as a result.

I wonder if this is something that could be addressed with a firmware update?
