Considering purchasing the BMPCC
I am a wedding videographer. Considering the price drop I was willing to buy 2-3 BMPCCs & be able to have more teams to cover events for me. My doubt were as under :
1. There seems to be a drawback on the recording time counter. It doesnt show remaining or total shot footage on the recorded SD card. Any update to correct this ? 2. How would shooting 50i on this cam be like (pardon my ignorance here pl) on Video mode ? 3. Audio performance or to use an external mic or recorder ? |

2.) Do you mean shooting 50i in camera? The camera doesn't have any options for this, and I don't believe they're planning on adding it. It does support 25p, though... As far as shooting in Video mode, it's not fantastic in general. Best to work in the film color space, and spend even a small amount of time on grading... Or else you might as well be working with a DSLR! 3.) I'd recommend mounting an external recorder to the body, and then running a line in to the camera if desired. Gives you audio meters that are currently lacking! |
Re: Considering purchasing the BMPCC
Are you sure this is the right camera for your purpose? It looks to me that shooting a wedding with this camera is even more difficult then with a dslr. Why don't you get something like a panasonic g6? They are pretty cheap right now and it has a great image and functionality.
