The Brutalist.

My wife and I saw the The Brutalist yesterday at the Cremorne Orpheum in Sydney. Oh boy 3.5 hours with a 15 minute interval. Would I be able to sit still for that long …?

Well it’s a strange title for a very interesting story, but it’s a bit slow. Looking back I saw places where it could have been tightened up. But that’s me and it is what it is. This year 2025, it’s up for 10 Oscars and now I think it’ll win many of them, the music being one.

I’m interested why was it shot in the old format VistaVision? For those interested …

Cheers.
